Alumni Spotlight – Chase Hall (FEBRUARY 2018)

I am pleased to introduce you to the Leadership Lexington Alumni Association’s newest lifetime member, Chase Hall. Chase proudly hails from Dayton, Ohio. A motivation to experience life outside of Ohio led to an undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University (pretentiously referred to as “SLU”). After graduating from “SLU” he could not bear the thought of eating any more of that deplorable Imo’s “pizza” and took his talents south, where he earned graduate degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His Master’s in Health Administration led him to the Administrative Fellowship program at UK HealthCare. He has been in Lexington ever since. While he loves Lexington, you will find him in Columbus most Saturdays in the fall as he is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Chase was a part of what many believe to be Leadership Lexington’s most accomplished class ever, the 2015-2016 class. Chase found the Leadership Lexington program to provide a raw appreciation for the livability and future of the city, and he was grateful to participate in that experience. He particularly enjoyed the Small Business, Equestrian and Arts & Quality of Life days. Chase notes “For any emerging leaders, it is worth a serious look as it provides a nice pathway for connecting with leaders from various industries, and forming new friendships!” Chase currently serves on the leadership team at Baptist Health Lexington as the Executive Director – Bariatrics, Gastroenterology & Respiratory. His primary responsibility is the development of Baptist’s new Digestive Health (GI & Bariatric) and Respiratory programs. “Baptist is focused on being the provider of choice for the healthcare services that we offer, and I play a role in organizing a network of health professionals to provide high quality convenient care. Having worked at Baptist Health Lexington for the last six years, I can easily say that it is the best place I have ever worked. We have great people, a great culture, and great leadership.” As if being a high powered hospital executive is not enough, he also finds time to serve on The Children’s Charity of the Bluegrass board. With great company partners and community leaders this organization donates over $350,000 annually toward children advocacy initiatives that benefit Central Kentucky. Additionally, he recently had the chance to get involved with UK’s Master of Health Administration program. Chase notes that “Healthcare is evolving, so it has been nice to see how up-and-coming healthcare leaders view current and future healthcare challenges.” When Chase is not working or serving the community, you are likely to find him at West 6th or Kentucky Native Café with his dog, Watson.
