About Me

Robert N. (Bob) Skaggs, 

Bob began his insurance career as an agent with The Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. Over the years he has served in several management/executive positions, including State Directorin Ohio at American Community Mutual, Director of Marketing and Sales for Health Alliance Plan (a division of the Henry Ford Health System), Vice President of CHA Health in Lexington, KY, and Market Director in KY for Humana. In 2008 Bob became President of CMD Health, Inc. a Kentucky based HMO that he and his team created. CMD Health partnered with ClubMD, a primary care facility, to create an integrated medical home health care delivery system that is unique to the health care market. 

Bob completed his undergraduate work in business administration and risk management at Indiana University then focused on his insurance education.  He has earnedseveral insurance designations including Health Insurance Associate (HIA), Associate Life and Health of Claims(ALHC), Fellow of the Life Management Institute(FLMI) and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU).  He was a member of the Leadership Henry Ford Health System class of 1997, Leadership Detroit in 1999 and Leadership Lexington in 2008.

Bob has been very active in the communities and industry that he serves.  He is a past President of the Central Kentucky Health Underwriters Association and the Bluegrass Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and has served on various charitable boards across the region.  He is also a past Chair of the Leadership Lexington program board. 

Bob and his wife Cindy reside in Richmond, KY.  They enjoy keeping track of their seven children and eightgrandchildren, gardening, golfing and traveling.
