About Me

Michael Thomas Kunjoo is a first-generation American that was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. His father grew up in Malaysia and his mother grew up in India. He moved to Lexington, Kentucky after high school to attend the University of Kentucky, and subsequently remained in Lexington to attend the school’s College of Law. He graduated and passed the bar in 2011. His practice has been focused on insurance defense and workers’ compensation defense. He has been named a Rising Star in workers’ compensation law by Super Lawyers for the past two years. Michael enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Whitney, and their dogs. Michael and his wife foster dogs and volunteer with multiple animal organizations. They also enjoy traveling nationally and internationally. Michael is an avid Kentucky athletics fan, and remains loyal to his home teams, which include the Redskins, Wizards, and Capitals.
