About Me

Kara has worn a number of hats at Keeneland, starting her career as an Account Planner with Keeneland’s marketing agency, Cornett.  Kara has found her niche as Keeneland’s Director of Patron Experience, merging together employee engagement and communication with elevating the experience for the hundreds of thousands of patrons and customers who come to Keeneland throughout the year.  She enjoys the challenge of preserving the rich history and tradition of Keeneland, while always looking for new ways to exceed customer’s expectations.  

Kara is a graduate of the 2012 Leadership Lexington class and served on the Steering Committee for three years following.  She is active in the community and serves on the boards for Horse Country and Children’s Charity of the Bluegrass.  She and her husband, Matt, live in Lexington with their three children.
