About Me

Laura grew up in Lancaster, KY on her family’s cattle ranch. Her love for the outdoors and farm life fueled her participation in 4-H and FFA, receiving the FFA’s highest award, the American Degree in 2007. Upon graduation from Garrard Co. High, Laura attended Eastern Kentucky University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Electronic Media with a News emphasis. In her free time, Laura enjoys traveling – local to international – especially being a tourist in her own town! After spending nearly 10 years in the Thoroughbred Industry working as the Experience Director for Taylor Made Farm. Laura branched out and opened her own business, Larland Beef. Today, Laura sources Black Angus Beef cattle from her father's Larland Farm making retail beef cuts available to consumers right off the farm. In addition to Larland Beef, Laura is actively involved in the community serving as a Horse Country committee member and on the Board of Directors for the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce.
