About Me

Jason has spent most of his life in central Kentucky, growing up in Winchester and moving to Lexington in 1992.  Jason joined the Lexington Fire Department in 1996, and has served in a variety of roles including Firefighter, station Captain of station 4 on Jefferson St., first platoon commander, executive officer to the Chief, and currently serves as the department’s Assistant Chief of Administration.  In his current role, Jason oversees the LFD’s budget and human resources as well as the community services, recruiting and hiring, health and safety, and accreditation bureaus.   

Jason holds a BA in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University and an MBA from the University of the Cumberlands.  Jason and his wife Fay have been married for 18 years, and live in Lexington with their 7 year old daughter, Nyah.  In their spare time, Jason and his family enjoy traveling, exploring, and cooking together.
